Welcome to the blog today! The creative team at Scrapbook Nerd has been busy creating some fun projects over the last week!
First, we have this beautiful project by Nathalie! Nathalie created this page using the new Vicki Boutin “All the Good Things” collection. She used Prima Marketing’s Odyssey watercolor palette to create the background, and a Silhouette cut file (backed with vellum to add softness to the page). She kept the design simple, so that the background and picture are the focus of the page.
The mixed media details, cut file and embellishing are perfect complements for this lovely photo!
Next is this fun layout by Gisele. Gisele has used the Crate Paper “December Days” papers, ephemera, stickers, and enamel dots. She has also included bows by Bella Blvd,
felt pompoms by Amy Tangerine, and AC Thickers by Dear Lizzy.
Gisele has included EK Success tree border punch and Shimelle date stamp.
The placement of the embellishment clusters and title are perfect accents for this cute holiday photo documenting a fun memory.
Circles, circles, circles!! The week’s sketch is all about the circles. For the background, instead of adhering circles, Milena used the altenew Pattern Play Circle Stamp.
She stamped and embossed the image, then used distress inks on the white and kraft background, and distress oxides on the black background.
She then used the Hero Arts Nested Circles die to cut out the larger circle and blended oxide inks over it to be sure it matched the colours in the stamped background. She stamped some quick sentiments (by lawn fawn) and added some Studio Katia sequins and the cards were done. Cards are quick and fun to make and great for trying out new techniques.
Next we have a mixed media layout by Mari. This layout was featured earlier this week as part of the Nerd Girl Tutorial Tuesday post. The details for the layout can be found in that post!
This layout includes some mixed media including Vicki Boutin Art Crayons and embellishments from Vicki’s “All the Good Things” and Crate Paper’s “Good Vibes”.
Thanks for stopping by the blog today!
