Sunday card share #53

Sunday card share at scrapbooknerd.com
Welcome back to another Sunday card share.
Today’s post is the last in this little series about using 12×12 cut-apart papers with 3×4,
4×4 or 4×6 cards for cardmaking. I was able to create 9 cards in total and one scrapbook
layout with the supplies listed at the bottom of this post.

I added a few things in from my stash, like the flower you see, the little wood veneer butterfly and the kraft photo corner. I think these cut-apart papers can be pretty fabulous especially when they have foiling on them. You can use them for so many projects.Sunday Card Share @scrapbooknerd.comYou can find the other two posts with the cards in this series here – SCS #51 & SCS #52

I thought I would share the layout with you today also, I used the same supplies.
I was left with the large square of pink paper and the smaller floral piece when I was finished making cards. I had to add-in another scrap of pattern paper for my photo mat, it was torn already so I just cut it to size. Some simple embellishing in visual triangle with the gold embellishments and then I added my journaling.

I hope you found some inspiration and look at those cut-apart papers a little differently, they really are very versatile. Happy crafting and I will see you next Sunday.

Sunday card share #52

Happy Sunday!
It’s Joy here with our card share this week. I believe that scrapbookers have all the supplies needed to create beautiful homemade cards to share with family & friends. Spread a little happiness and make a few cards this week to send out. 🙂

These cards focus on using up some leftover supplies from the My Mind’s Eye –
On Trend 2 collection.

Sunday Card Share - MME On Trend 2 collection @scrapbooknerd.comI used the same supplies in last weeks card share post Sunday card share #51 and I was able to make 9 cards and one layout. I focused on the cut-apart sheet and used the 3×4, 4×4 & 4×6 cards as the focal images on each card. The foiling on the Little Things paper is beautiful.

Sunday Card Share - MME On Trend 2 collection @scrapbooknerd.comI added an older pinwheel from Crate Paper to the Hooray card from my stash, the gold detail worked so well. I also added the cut off toothpick as a little detail.Sunday Card Share - MME On Trend 2 collection @scrapbooknerd.com

Do you have photo corners in your stash?
I have a package of craft coloured ones that I break out every now and then and I think they work really well with this collection.

Sunday cards share #51

Sunday card share at scrapbooknerd.com

Over this past week I’ve had several products sitting out on my desk that I wanted to use up. I wanted to see how many projects I could make out of 3 sheets of patten paper, some cardstock and two kinds of embellishments from the MME On Trend 2 collection.
(A full list of supplies is at the bottom of this post.)

So far I’ve created one layout and nine cards. Over the next few card shares I will show you more of those projects. Today I am sharing three of those cards.

Using the cut apart paper as the focal on these cards kept them simple and fast to create. The flamingo card uses a die from Tim Holtz and that’s as complicated as it got. The foiling on these is so beautiful I didn’t need to add much.

Friday Share

Creative-Team-projects-at-scrapbooknerd.com_-600x225

Hello everyone and Hello Friday!

Another week has passed quickly, and it has been my pleasure to share a few of my layouts with you. I realize looking back at them that I seem to have shared layouts with a certain theme of family legacy and gifts from the heart, remembering loved ones and creating memories with parents. A bit of a departure from my usual focus on my children and one that I have really enjoyed.

Let’s take a look at the projects:

  1. Happiness is a Gift from the Heart
Gratitude for the gift to my son started by my Mom and finished by my sister!
