Hey there nerds!
As I sit here writing this blog post it was anything but fall-like outside here today, temperatures were in the 30’s in Ontario. Hot enough to kick on the A/C unit at my house and extend flipflop season a little longer.
Today’s art journal page is all about my mum. Fall was definitely her season and even though the temperature is abnormally high, we still have leaves changing colour and falling to the ground. I hope you enjoy today’s video and I hope you get inspired.
The pages in the Vicki Boutin Junque Journal can be mixed up together depending on the inserts you purchase. I like mixing some of that kraft papers randomly into my journal.
I found it a bit challenging to work with the folded page on the left, but I think I got it worked out. I had to keep reminding myself that the page did not have to match the page on the front.
In the end, I think the page came together when I added the Umber paint using a circle stencil and paint splatter. Before that point to my eye, it just didn’t look right.
