Easy and Detailed Card Making Ideas

general

Welcome to the blog!  It’s Mari here and today I have three Christmas cards to share with you!  The cards vary from very easy to more detailed cards.

The first card I want to share in more detail is a card I created using products from Doodlebug Design.  This is the simplest to create and is a design that could be mass produced.

This first card was created with the Doodlebug Design Christmas Town collection.  I used one of the patterned papers from the 6×6 paper pad to create the card front.  The scallop border was created using the Studio Katia Scalloped Frames Dies die set (I used this die on all three cards).  Then I simply created my scene with the Chit Chat and Odds and Ends die cut packs from the collection.  This is such a quick and easy way to create a card.

The second card I created is a bit more detailed.  I used the Pink Fresh Studio Squirrel Friends stamp set to create this single layer card. I stamped my squirrels first onto some Neenah Solar White card stock with some Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I Copic colored my critters and masked them off with Eclipse masking paper.   I added some Distress Oxide Ink in Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Mermaid Lagoon for the sky area.  I spritzed the card with Sparkle Shimmer Spritz to add some sparkle and shine.  My sentiment is stamped in Versafine Onyx Black ink and then I added clear embossing ink to the sentiment and heat embossed it.  Some white paint splatters and Nuvo Glitter Accents have been added as well to finish the card.

The third card was created using the Lawn Fawn Winter Skies stamp and die set.  I created the night sky using Distress Oxide Inks in Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch and Black Soot.  I added some Sparkle Shimmer Spritz and white paint splatters to the night sky.  I cut a white two inch circle using a circle punch to create the moon.  I added some Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink to the moon and then stamped the Santa and reindeer stamp using Versafine Onyx Black ink.  I added some Nuvo Glaze to the Santa and reindeer image.  I stamped and colored the bear and tree images from Winter Skies and added them to a stitched snowbank created from a Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders die. To finish the card, I added some sequins from Studio Katia Shimmering Ice Fusion and a sentiment from Lawn Fawn Say What Christmas Critters stamp set.

The last two cards have a lot of detail and take more time, but they are so worth it!  Depending on what your style is, you can create very simple or detailed cards to give at Christmas time!  Be sure to check out all of the card making supplies in the shop at Scrapbook Nerd!

Thank you for stopping by today!  Have an amazing week!

xxMari
