Pinkfresh Studio “Holiday Vibes” | Mari Clarke
Welcome to the blog today! It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas and there are so many beautiful Christmas collections to create with again this year. The Pinkfresh Studio “Holiday Vibes” collection is lovely and in true form for Pinkfresh…this company always knocks it out of the park with the Christmas products they design each year.
This layout was created using two of the 12×12 patterned papers from the collection. The more subtle pattern has been used as a base as the background; the navy paper has been used as an accent. I took the navy paper and trimmed out a bit of a wide border for the left side of the layout. The geometric shapes on the paper provided an interesting and natural way to trim the paper.
I printed my photo in black and white just slightly smaller than 4×6. I die cut a frame for the photo and used some Distress Oxide in Fesitve Berries to add some color. I also added some gold heat embossing to the frame. The title is a combination of the wood alphas from the collection and a font from JustNick Studio called Distressed Alpha.
I added a few of the die cuts from the ephemera pack to embellish the layout. The diamond shapes on the right were created from the area I trimmed on the left. My journaling was created in Microsoft Word using size 11 font. I have popped up many of the embellishments and journaling onto some foam adhesive to give some added dimension.
Be sure to check out the “Holiday Vibes” collection in the Scrapbook Nerd shop as well as all of the other Christmas products. Thank you for stopping by the blog! Have an amazing day and week!
