Sunday card share #35
Welcome to another card share here on the SN blog. Today I’m sharing a card with some watercoloring using Distress markers. I wanted the main stamped image to shine so I used some neutral coloured papers for matting and Vintage Photo distress ink for the inking on the edges of the papers.
Using the Finnabair stamp set called ‘don’t forget to fly’ (a current favourite) stamped with black archival ink onto watercolour cardstock. I used a piece of plastic to scribble my watercolour markers onto and pick up the colour from there with my brush pen. I find that when I colour directly onto the watercolour papers I end up seeing the marker lines.
I added extra water at the bottom of the image and allowed the excess to drip off paper, I love that look right now. I did use my heat tool to speed up the drying. Once everything was finished I added some Wink of Stella to all of the circles on the stamped image, and used the same markers to ink up some clear stamps for the simple stamping on the card base.
