THIS WEEK … DAILY ROUTINE/DAILY LIFE

Bella Blvd. Crate Paper Design Team projects Echo Park Free cut files Inspiration Mixed Media Paige Evans Scrapbooking Tips & Tutorials Vicki Boutin

Hello, Gisele here bringing you the design team’s projects for this week. Lots going on this week, but our theme was daily routine/daily life. So let’s check it out shall we.

Mari’s everyday life thematic layout is about time she spends with family! Mari applied some Vicki Boutin Gesso to some patterned paper. Then she tore the paper in half and adhered it to some Bazzil Marshmallow card stock. Just under the torn paper, Mari added some texture paste through a Crafter’s Workshop stencil. Using a dry, flat paint brush, she dry brushed some Vicki Boutin acrylic paint in blue, pink and yellow onto the paper. Mari chose a Crate Paper collection from Maggie Holmes to embellish her layout. If you want to try this, there are so many beautiful mediums, paper and embellishments in the shop for this project! Mari has a video of this project on her YouTube channel if you would like to see all of the details.

A peak at her texture and mixed media:

Nathalie created this project that celebrates an everyday moment of her son’s life. She used a combination of Paige Evans collections ( Turn the Page, Pick Me Up, Take Me Away, Oh My Heart) to create this page. The title was created using a cut file from JustNick Studio. The background was built using Distress Oxides, a Kaisercraft stencil and Pink Paislee’s Turn the Page collection stamp. All the embellishments come from all the collections and also the Paige Evans sticker book. Love the color blocking in this starry page.

Mixed media is beautiful:

This week’s sketch features a single 2×3 photo. Milena’s page example uses Bella Blvd’s Pop Quiz collection. Such a fun sketch. Maybe you could try it in our online crop this weekend in our Facebook group.

Yup, school has started up again, great way to showcase that.

A closer look of the layering:

Everyday life sometimes is when Gisele ends up in a thrift store and finding a new bracelet. She has a big collection. This was her latest find recently. She used a free cut file from the store called “Spring Things”. She also used a punch from her stash to add some more flowers in white to add around the photos. Pattern papers used are from the “Have Faith” from 6×6 paper pad by Echo Park. These papers were also used to back photos and cut file.
Also used on this page are puffy stickers from Pink Fresh, some chipboard embellishments from Thickers “Pick Me Up”, some Heidi Swapp in navy and gold colour shine and some gold floss from her stash. The title is from Pink Fresh, the LOVE is from the Pick Me Up collection as well. The background and frame are papers from the coordinating solids paper pack from Echo Park “have Faith”. The large cluster cut file of flowers is from the Scrapbook Nerd shop and it is free!! You can find it here. It’s called “Spring Things”.
