CREATIVE TEAM DIGEST
Design Team projects general Inspiration Scrapbooking
As usual, the Creative Team here at Scrapbook Nerd have been hard at work creating some beautiful projects. It’s that time of year here in Canada when staying indoors and creating is easy to do. As I write this the snow is falling outside my window. I’m wishing for a white Christmas!!
First up is Gisele with this lovely fall themed layout. Her layering is always stunning and this layout makes me want to hibernate in a cabin somewhere. She uses the Simple Stories Cabin Fever collection, along with a maple leaf Sihouette cut file, some Heidi Swapp Colour Shine in navy, a Jillibean enamel shape, some wood veneer, navy enamel dots, a flair button and some twine. All this comes together beautifully in her layout.
Next up is Mari using the December free cut file from the shop and the Oh What Fun collection from MME. The cut file was cut from white card stock and used as a mat behind the photo (4×6). Papers from the MME 6×6 pad were used to mat the photo. The word “Joy” is backed with papers from the 6×6 pad as well. Various die cuts from the Oh What Fun ephemera pack and bits from the chipboard sheet have been used to embellish the layout. Love this collection! There are so many fun pieces and the color palette is perfect! I love the black and white photo paired with the bold red background. Just gorgeous. I need to download this file and put it to use.
Nathalie created this layout about her sister on her 40th bday using a bit of mixed media (all Heidi Swapp colorshine) and Maggie Holmes Carousel collection. The title comes from the 12×12 paper pad, and was carefully fussy cut. I love the large title on this page with the mixed media peeking out from underneath.
I brought you a 3 photo sketch and a layout using the Bella Blvd Mind Your Manners collection. I love the bright fun colours in this collection. I found them to be very versatile and they go with so many of my summer photos. In my tutorial earlier this week I also included a second sketch designed to help you extend those single page sketches into a double page if you have too many photos for a single page.
The holiday season is almost upon us. I’m looking forward to a bit of time off and the opportunity to do some creating over the holidays. See you all again in 2018!!
