Welcome back,
My layouts this month started off a bit differently than usual, I don’t usually use white cardstock for my backgrounds you see. This first layout started with the idea to create some movement and energy to help me communicate the fun and playful nature of our dog Gracie, who loves to play with the packaging that comes in the boxes with our orders.
I used the Silhouette Cameo to cut the chevron/arrow and then backed the cut outs with bold colourful papers from the Pebbles Inc. Lakeside collection. Now because the background was busy and used so much colour I wanted to contain it, so I cut 1/4″ off two sides of the white cardstock and glue it to a black 12×12 sheet of paper.
I created a blog post this month about card making for scrapbookers as I looked at several cards I had made that had a lot similarities. It’s really easy to use the supplies I have on hand to crate quick & easy cards for my friends and family.

This next layout was made for my brother, he has a few albums at his home that I’ve add layouts to over the years for his children. I used photos from his Facebook page, picked some highlights from a trip to Mexico and cropped the photos to 2.5″x3.5″ to create some photo strips.
I used texture paste and a stencil in the background and used leftover strips from another project for this simple design. I Love the gold letters from the Crate Paper Confetti collection, it’s got 8 pages of alpha stickers in two sizes with upper and lower case. 605 letter & number stickers…..a really great value in that pack.
