Jillibean, Cool as a Cucumber
Design Team projects general Inspiration
This month I worked with the Jillibean collection – Cool as a Cucumber. What a fun collection this is. It’s perfect for boys – big and small! I love all the little icons that are included in this collection.
College Boy
My first project is of when my youngest moved into his college dorm. I love that this collection is young enough for smaller boys, but is old enough for the college-age boys. I love the pea pod parts – the die cuts. The price point is awesome and you get a lot in the package.
Since our theme this month is stitching, I pulled out my sewing machine and decided to make a zig-zag border on the edge of the paper strips. After one pass, I decided it wasn’t enough, and didn’t “add” what I was going for on the layout, so I made several more passes. The result was this “messy” look, which fits in so well with my youngest son’s personality.
My Boys
This one isn’t much of a reveal. I posted it last week in a tutorial showing how I created the stitched border.
Little Buddy
To continue on with the stitching theme for this month, I pulled out my sewing machine and created a grid. I really love the look.
I went to my picture files for this layout. I pulled out some photos from a few years ago. I took these pictures of my youngest for a photo shoot for a photography class I was taking at our local college.
