Nerd Girl Fleur’s January Projects

Happy 2015. I can’t believe 2014 is over all ready it just flew past!
For January the Nerd Girls were given pocket style cards to play with. I got the purrfect Simple Stories Snap CAT collection. I love this fun collection full of cute cat images and sayings. Our challenge was to use the cards in different ways.
First up I made a mini album. I love using journaling cards to make fun little mini albums. All I did for this one was hole punch the corner and tie the cards together with string. Then on each page I added a cute photo of my sweet kitty Buttons and some stickers from the coordinating sticker pack.
I can’t show you all the pages I ended up with over 20 but here are a few.
For my second project I used the cards to make layers for a layout. I just added different sizes of the cards under the strip of photos of my cat Buttons cleaning Linden. It was so funny how she was stretched out from the kitchen table to the back of his chair to do it. Of course he was totally oblivious as he was playing Minecraft.
The third way I used the cards was in the traditional pocket style scrapbooking way. I tried Project Life for the first time in 2014 and although I didn’t quite get it finished (I did make it to November) I really enjoyed doing it.
And of course last but not least the memo board that I shared on Tuesday.
I also got a Jillibean Soup Placemat in my January kit and used it to make a recap of 2014. I was going to keep some of the squares to do some embellishing but I ended up just adding all photos and used gold tape under the words.
I love how this layout reacaps the great year we had.
Happy 2015!
