Above are the cards I made using some basic supplies; cardstock, pattern paper, pop dots, stamps, ink and glossy accents. Below as the steps I took to make the ‘You Rock’ card on the left.

First I took a standard A2 card (4.25″ x 5.5″) and cut stars into the top layer of the folded card. You can use an electronic die cutter or manual die cut shapes to do this.

Next, choose some pattern paper to back the stars and punch circles in appropriate sizes to fully cover the star shapes. I used the handy & small Plus 4mm glue runner to trace each star to adhere the yellow circles.scrapbooknerd.com easy texture IMG_2419

I did use double-sided pattern paper, so I had to cover the inner front side of the card with white cardstock. Alternatively you could adhere the front panel to a card base.
Using the All Boys – stamp & die combo I stamped out & die cut the guitar with Black Archival ink and used foam tape to pop it off the page.

To create my sentiment I used the Ali Edwards – Handwritten Alpha stamp set to create my sentiment then attached everything to the card front.

Here are some detailed shots of all three cards. Even though the icons in the stamp & die combo are male oriented, a simple change in colour makes them usable for girls too. I used pop dots on the back of the word ‘cool’ and some Martha Stewart texture paste for this card…

For this next card I used glossy accents to highlight the ‘Happy Days’ printed on the pattern paper. Simple, right?
