Creative Team Weekly Round Up

Welcome to the Scrapbook Nerd blog!  This week the team has been creating some Christmas cards with some of the amazing card making supplies in the shop to choose from!!

Team member Nathalie created this amazing group of three cards! Nathalie created a set of cards that use Concord and 9th’ s latest release and Distress Oxides.

For this card, Nathalie used Distress Oxides in Peacock Feathers, Fossilized Amber, Worn Lipstick and one of the blue colors as well as Concord and 9th’s Deck The Halls Turnabout stamp set. The sentiment comes from last year’s Crate Paper FALALA collection.

Nathalie used Concord and 9th’s Happy Plaids stamp set with Distress Oxide in Black Soot and Hickory Smoke to create the background of this card. The snowflake die cuts come from Crate Paper’s FALALA collection, and the wooden sentiment is from Pink Fresh Studio’s December Days collection.

This card features the new Concord and 9th’s Merry and Bright collection and Distress Oxides in Evergreen Bough, Barn Door and Crushed Olive in the background. The sentiment comes from Pebbles new Christmas collection – Cozy and Bright.

Mari created three Christmas cards, as well!

This first card was created with the Doodlebug Design Christmas Town collection (6×6 pad, Chit Chat and Odds and Ends die cut packs).

For the second card, Mari used the Pink Fresh Studio Squirrel Friends stamp set to create this single layer card. She stamped the squirrels first onto some Neenah Solar White card stock with some Memento Tuxedo Black ink.   Copic markers were used to color the critters.   Mari added some Distress Oxide Ink in Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Mermaid Lagoon for the sky area and spritzed the card with Sparkle Shimmer Spritz to add some sparkle and shine.  The sentiment is stamped in Versafine Onyx Black ink and  heat embossed with clear embossing ink.  Some white paint splatters and Nuvo Glitter Accents have been added as well to finish the card.

The third card was created using the Lawn Fawn Winter Skies stamp and die set.  Mari created the night sky using Distress Oxide Inks in Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch and Black Soot.  She added some Sparkle Shimmer Spritz and white paint splatters to the night sky.  Mari cut a white two inch circle using a circle punch to create the moon.  Then she added some Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink to the moon and then stamped the Santa and reindeer stamp using Versafine Onyx Black ink.  She added some Nuvo Glaze to the Santa and reindeer image.  Mari stamped and colored the bear and tree images from Winter Skies and added them to a stitched snowbank created from a Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders die. To finish the card, she added some sequins from Studio Katia Shimmering Ice Fusion and a sentiment from Lawn Fawn Say What Christmas Critters stamp set.
