Scrapbook Nerd Tutorial | Stenciled Background
Welcome to the blog today! I have a fun technique to share with you that is super easy!
Using stencils and a stencil brush, along with the Vicki Boutin Art Crayons, you can create some fun effects for backgrounds on scrapbook layouts or cards. Simply apply the crayon to a non porous surface (like a piece of acetate) and then pick up the color with a stencil brush. Brush the color across the stencil placed on some paper, and voila…you have a cool texture.
You can see how this adds a nice effect behind the photo and embellishments.
I added some texture paste through a stencil over the colored stencil areas for extra interest and dimension. The embellishments from All The Good Things complement the black and white photo nicely.
Try this super easy technique for some cool results!
Thanks for stopping by today!
