Card Making Design Team projects Free cut files general Inspiration Mixed Media Scrapbooking
Hey everyone, it’s Gisele again bringing you our latest design team work plus a new cut file we showcased earlier this week. We have been busy creating again and have some wonderful projects for you. Happy belated 4th of July to our neighbours to the south. We celebrated Canada day earlier this month. so now, lets get to it shall we?
First up is Mari. She is getting ready for her daughter’s wedding and so her design project reflects that. She created this gift card idea using the MFT Gift Card Pouches and matching Die-Namics/Greetings. The Doodle Bug patterned paper sets off the front of the card.
Such a wonderful idea. Gift cards are great, but the embellishing brings the presentation to a whole new level.

Next up for the love of summer! Nathalie created this Traveler’s notebook layout all about her baby’s love for ice cream using the new Time To Shine cut file.
She paired elements from Doodlebug’s Cream & Sugar and So Punny collections to back the cut out, and embellish the page. The background paper comes from Fancy Pants’ Joy Parade collection. She combined stickers from Doodlebug collections with Pinkfresh Studio’s The Mix 2 alphas to complete her title, and added a few stickers from Paige Evans sticker tablet behind the top cormer of her picture.
Who knew that her baby would be her sweet dog! LOL
A closeup, don’t you love those speech bubbles? :
And another, lots of layers:
This is my creation for this week, a LO showcasing my grandniece with her horse. I created this page using Bazzill cardstock and the Crate paper collection “Wild Heart” papers and chipboard. My title is made of AC Thickers “Charming” and AC Thickers “Happy Life”. The pink bow is from Doodlebug from the Odds and Ends of the “Hello” collection. The added pink puffy hearts are Pink Fresh. XO are also Thickers from AC “Sweetest”. I punched a few circles and tags. Gold floss was added to tags and attached with the Tim Holtz tiny attacher. The journaling words are Simple Stories “Hello Summer”. The Love You chipboard piece is from AC THickers “Pick Me Up” collection. To repeat the gold and black elements I used splatters of black and gold Heidi Swapp colour shine and a small ribbon from my stash. I sure black card stock to back the whole LO.
Had fun creating the title using several pieces and a couple of different fonts. I am in love with pompoms right now and found the perfect ribbon in my stash to go under the picture.

And the small cluster in upper left hand corner. The gold Heidi Swapp colour shine left a ring, but I am ok with that.
Last but not least, we have a free new cut file in our shop. Woohoo, just right for summer and all the heat waves we have been experiencing in Canada this week. Such a fantastic cut file for all your summer projects. It’s called Time to Shine.
Nathalie has used it here:
She also created this card with that fun flamingo:
