Step by Step paper crafting tutorials

When I received my kit for this month, I was blown away. The kit was packed with gorgeous papers and embellies from the fantastic Crate Paper ‘Wonder’ collection.

It took me some time to figure out what I wanted to do for my first project. I decided on making this mini. It was such fun, and pretty easy to do, considering I am not one for all types of folding. lol

Here is how I made it.

You will need:

3 sheets of cardstock, 10″ x 10″

4 sheets of patterned paper, 4.5″ x 4.5″

6 sheets of patterned paper, 4″ x 4″

Optional: 2 sheets of cardstock (or chipboard), 4.5″ x 4.5″ (These will be for the front and back covers)

Adhesive, preferably tape glue, and bone folder.

Ribbon, and embellies.

Step 1: Fold your pieces of 10 x 10 cardstock from corner, horizontally, then vertically, then diagonally. Then glue together, from the center of middle sheet. Like this:

Step 2: Attach your 4 pieces of 4″ x 4″ pieces on the center ‘squares’.

Step 3: With your 6 pieces of 4″ x 4″ squares, cut diagonally, to make 12 triangles. Attach to remaining squares.

Step 4:Decorate your squares/triangles

Step 5: Fold your corners inwards, to make like an accordion.

Step 6: Add  your covers. Decorate. Add ribbon.

And there you have it!
