decorated canvas bag general Inspiration Mixed Media stencil play
Hello friends,
On a recent shopping trip to my local dollar shop, I found a plain canvas bag in the craft isle. The idea popped into my head that I could decorate it with my stencils and fabric paint and use it to wrap a gift for an upcoming retreat.
I used a make-up sponge to apply the paint, chose various sizes of stencils and repeated the circle shapes in various sizes also. The splatter looking shapes in blue are stamped with archival ink in my last step before heat setting the fabric paint with my iron.
I really like the way it turned to and I’m going back to get more canvas bags after finding more colours in the fabric paint. I want to make more for some upcoming events & birthdays.
