Countdown to Christmas – Day 6 – Remember Your Pets
It is day 6 of our Countdown to Christmas series! I hope you all are getting inspired by all the projects we are bringing to you.
You all know, we love our baby -our doggie-, and during the holidays we make sure to include him in our family traditions, which means having a picture taken with some the gifts they received. I love documenting these pictures, and seeing the happiness in their faces, which is so opposite of how my doggie felt with his present. So i had to create a quick layout to document this moment.
I started by matting and layering the picture with papers from the Comfort and Joy collection from My Mind’s Eye (available at the store). I created a few clusters aroun the picture with some of the collection add-ons. I chose to use the wood grain paper from the same collection as the mat for this layout.
I find that using cut files for titles is a quick solution to speeding your page designs, For this layout, I used the Tinsel Town cut file for the word “Joy”, and welded a few snowflakes from the Sweater Weather to the word -both cut files come from the Cut Shoppe- I simply layered some vellum behind the snowflakes, and used foam adhesive to add dimension to the entire title. Also, I used a snowflake sticker from Snow and Cocoa collection to fill the space inside the “O”, and a die cut piece from the Comfort and Joy collection to add a pop of red to the title. Here is the complete layout:
This page took no time to put together, the simplicity of the page highlights the picture (Can you just see the happiness in my baby’s face!! )
Remember to capture all the little moments of your holidays, you will be surprise at how lovely is to relive them as you document them.
Don’t forget to check back with us during the next few days…
See you all soon!!
