Hello All!

This week I shared different types of stories/photos with different collections.

  1. I started off telling a story from my summer of when my brother had heart surgery and what a worry it was for all of us when his recovery did not go as planned. After a few weeks had passed and he was doing better, I was ready to reflect and document my love for him and his family. The soft and sweet sentiments from PP Paige Evans Fancy Free collection was perfect for this photo and loving story.

  2. Wanting to experiment with a little mixed media (not my usual go-to), I documented the fun of finding this theatre in Detroit with our family name. The PP C’est La Vie collection added the perfect pizzazz to the layout.

  3. The PP (Hmmm, seems to be a theme here – I am loving what Pink Paislee is doing these days) “Outfitters” collection inspired me to look back through some older photos of when my boys were learning to paddle a canoe in Algonquin Park. I loved this free cut file from Paige Evans (Find on her blog) and used some watercolours and hand-stitching to make the title stand out even more.

  4. Last, but not least, this layout was a chance for me to tell my story of gratitude and victory. For the past six months, I have suffered with a debilitating disc herniation in my low back and accompanying severe sciatic pain. I reached the point that I could no longer walk or stand and the pain kept me from sleeping or functioning. I finally went to the ER at Sunnybrook and after many tests and referrals, eventually met a surgeon who was willing to operate on me. I call him my “surgeon in shining armour”.Now, I am reclaiming the ability to enjoy aspects of my life, including walking. I used some of the soft, pastel papers and embellishments from Fancy Free and Crate Paper’s Bloom to document this story.

Thanks for looking, and I hope that you will consider taking time to tell the more difficult stories in your life.
