Photo Play Family Ties with Barb
Hello Everyone. Welcome to 2016!! We hope this is a wonderfully creative year for you and that your year is filled with much happiness.
This week I’ve been playing around with the Photo Play Family Ties collection. Have you been able to check out any of the Photo Play lines? You really need to. They are so much fun. This collection is no different. It’s filled with fun and versatile icons, patterns, and quotes that are perfect for all your family photos.
Project #1 – Brothers
I love the colours in this collection – they are both masculine and feminine so it doesn’t matter what you’re working on, there is something to suit.
My first project is a photo of my three boys. It was also the tutorial for this week – just a simple step-by-step on how I created this layout.
Project #2 – Mother & Son
This collection is all about cherishing those family connections and sharing the stories. For my second project, I wanted to share the special bond that my husband has with his mother. I had no difficulty doing so with this line.
Project #3 – Family Ties
One of the things I really love about this collection is the heritage slant to a lot of the collection. While the colours don’t scream heritage, some of the images lend themselves to the older photos. As soon as I saw this, I knew I needed to use a photo from my childhood of my extended family.
Thanks for checking out my projects, and the Photo Play Family Ties collection. You can find this line in the Scrapbook Nerd store. I’m sure you’ll find that it’s the perfect collection for sharing your own family stories.
