Hello everyone. Now that the Holidays are winding down, it’s time to get your paper out and get creative again. After I’ve had a bit of a break in scrapbooking, I find that I need a quick project to boost my creative energy. Today, I have a quick and easy page tutorial to help you get back into the creative swing.
For this project you will need:
-a 12×12 piece of white cardstock
-three matching patterns of 12×12 paper – I’ve used the Photo Play Family Ties collection
-a pocket style card – I used the cut-apart sheet that came with the Family Ties collection
-embellishments that will match your paper (I pulled a few that I thought I may use, but in the end I only used the sticker sheets from the Photo Play Family Ties collection, and the MAMBI Chips – Insta Love.
-a 5×7 photo
Cut your patterned papers into various sizes. The Navy polkadot is 8″x6″, the blue chevron is 4″x10″ and the orange is 6″x7.5″
Layer them onto your background cardstock.
Add your photo.
Add your pocket-style card to the right edge of your photo.
Add your title.
Add your embellishments in clusters on the top left of the layout, the right side – over lapping the pocket-style card, and the bottom left of the photo. Make sure your embellishment are touching so that they don’t appear to be floating. I also use pop dots on some of my embellishments to give them some dimension.
There you have it – a quick layout to get you back into the creative swing.
