This week I created layouts with Crate Paper’s – Cute Girl Collection . This collection is for girl’s of all ages! The papers are a good mix of subtle and bold patterns, geometrical, floral, pocket cards, and some black and white patterns. The embellishments in the collection are adorable, a large selection of stickers , resin hearts (I loved these!) and some larger 2 dimensional wood veneer.
For my first two layouts, I started out with a sketch from SN and made a Dance layout for each of my daughters.
Next I cut up the pocket card sheet and used it to embellish a layout of my sisters and I attending a nephew’s first art showing! I even made us into art by placing a frame surrounding us!
For this layout I started with a bold large floral paper, and then used a subtle geometrical pattern in a pink to accent with the floral colour. I fussy cut a few banners from the black and white papers to coordinate with the main colour in the photo’s.
I cut the top background papers on the bais, layered some black and white word and patterned papers behind the photo’s and used some for a border across the bottom.
For this layout , on a piece of darker pink cardstock I used a heart stencil and texture paste , a dry stiff brush with little paint, ink splats and dots to create a background to highlight my photo. A mix of floral, subtle geometrical, and a cute kitten face paper to create large corners. A black and white photo with layers of black and white behind. Lots of love and hearts on this one!
I hope this mix of photo’s and layouts shows you just how versatile this collection is . It really is for Cute Girls ! of any age!
