Working with Crate Paper – Cute Girl
I have noticed that more and more Collections are including 1 or 2 plus, pages of pocket cards. When I am working with a group of photo’s I will often make layouts with my favourite photo’s and add a pocket page or 2 of additional photo’s and it is really nice to have the corresponding cards that match my papers and theme. But what happens when you aren’t using pocket pages!? I am trying to work those cards into my layouts…
I have fuzzy cut them and used the words and phrases, I have cut the cards to mat or add layers to my photo’s , I have fuzzy cut the cute elements and used pop dots to create embellishments, what I haven’t done is simply use them as pocket cards without the pocket to make a layout.
On this layout I simply started with plain cardstock, added some cards and drew the pockets around them, I tried to make it look like stitching. To create some visual interest I added some stickers, paper strips, a brad, chipboard frames , and a few hand drawn lines on 2 of the pocket cards.

This layout came together super fast and I am thrilled with my result. How do you use pocket cards?
Thanks for looking,
Cathy
