My Mind’s Eye Hey Mister with Barb

general

Hello, everyone.  Can you believe we are at the end of another week?  Were you able to get any playtime?

I did.  This week I’ve been playing along with the My Mind’s Eye Hey Mister collection.  For those of you who know me, you know I have three grown sons who still make it onto my scrapbook projects, along with my husband.  I’m always searching for decent masculine collections that don’t feature top hats and moustaches.  Well, this collection fits that bill! I love the mix of colours in this collection along with the added copper foil accents both in the papers and the embellishments.

Project One: Sharp Dressed Man

I took this photo for a portraiture assignment for a photography class I was in.  I love how everything in this collection came together to showcase the photo. Some of the icons in this collection have a very hipster vibe to them.

This layout was featured in the tutorial for this week.  I shared how I made my dimensional title using my silhouette.  Be sure to scroll down to check it out.

Project 2:  Father’s Day Cards

With Father’s Day coming up, I decided to make up a batch of cards for us to give to all the men in our lives.  This collection comes with 3×4 pocket page cards, which I found to be perfect to use as the backgrounds for the cards.  Then I simply just added some embellishments to complete these cards very quickly.

Project Three: Hey Dude

I often find that masculine collections are either too young, or way too old to use for my boys.  It’s hard to find that balance.  I really love how this layout turned out and how versatile this collection is. Don’t you just love the doggie icons that are a recurring theme in Hey Mister? So cute!

Thanks for checking out my reveal post this week.  I hope you’re able to find some crafting time this weekend.
