Small Format Layouts | Mari Clarke

Welcome to the blog today; it’s team member Mari here! Sometimes it is fun to scrapbook a layout in a smaller format; there is just less real estate to think about and sometimes that just helps get that memory documented that you want to complete. Today I am sharing a Traveller’s Notebook layout that will hopefully inspire you to create something like this in your memory keeping process.

I created this project in my Simple Stories Carpe Diem Traveller’s Notebook insert. This particular book has unlined paper. I love these blank white pages for creating a layout! The photo is printed at 3.5 x 2.5 in black and white. I left a white border on my photo.

All of the products I have used are from the “Willow Lane” collection from Crate Paper. On the left side, I adhered a journaling pocket and added my journaling to the tag. I embellished the corners with stamps and stickers from the collection. I have adorned the front of the pocket with some stickers, as well.

I added a floral die cut and foam sticker to the bottom left for added dimension and interest. The left side is dedicated to the journaling for the layout. I didn’t add any journaling to the right side.

I used two journaling cards to mat the photo. I also added a frame over the photo (I added foam adhesive to the back of the frame to give it a bit more dimension). There is more stamping and stickers from the collection on this right side.
It is so quick and easy to create a layout when using a small format like a Traveller’s Notebook! I love using this format for documenting a special memory like this one!
I hope you were inspired to used a smaller format on a project in the future! Thank you so much for stopping by the blog!
