Hey scrappy nerds, Gisele again bringing you what we have been working on for you. Lots to share, so let’s get to it
On my tutorial this week, I talked about the rule of 3 and the visual triangle. Just to refresh, here are a couple of examples.
The visual triangle makes your eye go around the page, my yellow tags in this layout form a triangle. I also repeated the enamel white stars, that is also a triangle. Now to show the rule of 3, I have the 3 plus signs grouped together. You can check other examples of my tutorial by reading the previous post.
Nathalie has this gorgeous page. She created this layout using 1 Canoe 2 Twilight collection and a modified Ina Moreva cut file. All the color of the collection’s papers behind each flower are accented by the dimension created with the addition of foam adhesive. The stitched details on each of the butterflies brings the eye to the picture in this page!
How beautiful, looking so much like spring and I love the title: Her Time.
The next design is mine, for this LO I am using Echo Park “I’d Rather Be Crafting” collection by Lori Whitlock. I am always in love with Lori’s collections. The reverse side of the cameras was brown and that is what I use for matting the photos as well as the camera strip. Notice the camera has been cut from the papers and added partly over the picture and the pattern papers. The butterfly chipboard piece is One Canoe Two. Alphas are AC Thickers “Lullaby” from my stash. The words on the top were cut from one of the 4×6 cut apart cards from the collection, I wanted them to look like a news strip like on tv. At the top I added jute and stapled with my tiny attacher from Tim Holtz, love that tool! The cute white love overlay, unknown, from my stash. The enamel dots are by MME. A tiny star from Studio Calico, the cork pieces are Crate paper, ‘Good Vibes”. I punched the yellow X tab from a scrap from the patterned background paper.
So in this view, you can see the matting of the pictures with the reverse side of the camera pattern paper. I added a tab from a punch I have. I stapled the overlay on the part of the photo I wanted to highlight. And in the next view, you can see I fussy cute a camera from the papers and put part of it over the picture by using some foam behind it.
And if you learned anything from my tutorial earlier this week, you will notice that each of my clusters have cork for your visual triangle
