Memory Keeping in a Traveler’s Notebook
It’s Tutorial Tuesday on the blog today and I wanted to share a project in my Simple Stories Traveler’s Notebook. This is such a fun format to use for memory keeping! I love the size of this particular notebook.
The cover is gorgeous and the pages inside this particular notebook are lined. If your plan is to do some journaling on the pages, the lines are perfect!
The project I created is a double page spread using the Beautiful collection kit from Simple Stories. This is the perfect collection for this notebook, however you could use whatever products you choose. On the right and left side of the notebook, I covered the pages with some patterned paper. I used some washi tape down the spine of the journal to add some interest and detail to the center area of the layout.
I matted my photo with some black cardstock and some bits of paper from the collection. I also layered half of a doily behind the photo.
I embellished the layout with die cuts from the collection and then added my journaling in strips to the left side. I added a few gold sequins and some enamel dots here and there as extra bits of pizazz. I love how this turned out!!
Try your hand at a new format if you are looking to change up from a larger layout size. You could even use your notebook for a specific theme of memory keeping.
Here is a link to the process video.
Thanks so much for stopping by the blog!!
xx Mari
